An early transfer, a short flight, and you are in the middle of the African bush. You will enjoy a day full of activities to explore the surroundings and a full day game drive with a lunch break in between, looking for the giraffes, antelopes, lions and the biggest variety of colourful birds. 2 nights in Africa Safari Selous, where they will welcome you with drinks, lunch, dinner and a comfortable bed. After 2 days of tasting the African life, early morning, you will fly back to the beach.

Day 1:

  • 06.30 Breakfast and check-out
  • 08.40 Flight back to Zanzibar Airport (09.30 arrival) + transfer back to the hotel

Day 1

Early morning, the transfer car will pick you up at your hotel, to bring you to Zanzibar Airport. After check-in at the Domestic departure, and a short flight later, the wildlife in Selous is waiting for you. Our safari vehicle with the driver-guide is ready to bring you to your home away from home, Africa Safari Selous.

It will be a day full of activities… bush walk with the bushman, a village tour and a boat safari-

Day 2

After a good night sleep, and a nice breakfast, a driver-guide will take you out on a full day game drive, to try to spot the large number of animals living in the biggest Game Reserve of Africa. You will have a bush lunch with a view, before you continue your game drive, slowly getting into the direction of Africa Safari Selous, where you can spend your second night.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, your driver will bring you to Mtemere airstrip, where the plane is waiting for you, to bring you back to Zanzibar. At Zanzibar airport, our car will bring you back to the hotel, where you can relax and cherish your memories.

Selous GR (Nyerere National Park)

Off the beaten track

Selous GR (Nyerere National Park) is a little more of a hidden wonder in Tanzania, giving it even greater appeal. It’s one of the largest remaining wilderness areas in Africa, relatively undisturbed by human impact with only a small 8% of the northern region of the park dedicated to photographic tourism.

The reserve is crossed by the second biggest river in Tanzania, the Rufiji river, creating a very dynamic ecosystem. Selous is home to more than 2000 species of plants and over 350 species of birds and reptiles, boasting a wide range of wildlife from the African bush elephants, hippopotamus and lions to Cape buffaloes, Maasai giraffe, & zebra.

The vehicle is a low emission, open four-wheel drive safari jeep, perfectly suited for getting up close and personal with nature and taking unobstructed pictures.
